Taurean Buchanan, is the founding member of Buchanan Law, where he focuses his  practice in the areas of Personal Injury, Worker’s Compensation, and Bankruptcy. 

Taurean has extensive experience representing clients with personal injury matters. These matters typically involve automobile accidents, premise liability (injury on a business property), wrongful death, and medical malpractice. Taurean also represents employees who have been injured on the job in Worker’s Compensation matters and individuals in Bankruptcy Matters.  

Mr. Buchanan is originally from Hattiesburg, MS and is a graduate of Hattiesburg High School.  He received  a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University.  A graduate of Mississippi College School of Law, among other activities he served as President of the College’s Black Law Students Association and as Director of Sub Region II (Louisiana and Mississippi) of the Southern Region of the  National Black Law Students Association. 

A member of the Magnolia Bar Association, Taurean received the 2010 Al Rhodes Service Award for outstanding commitment and work on behalf of the Association.  He was honored to have also served as President of the Magnolia Bar Association.  Among other accolades, he has been selected as a Mid-South Super Lawyer Rising Star; is a 2014 recipient of the Lawyers of Color Hotlist; and serves as the Treasurer for the Jackson Metro area chapter of the LSU Alumni Association.
